How to Use This Tool Kit
Simply select the relevant flow chart and follow the series of 'yes' or 'no' routes to determine whether or not you are allowed to photocopy/scan the material. The Tool Kit has been organised into sections covering what we have identified as the most commonly copied items within the FE sector. Where appropriate we have designed separate flow charts for the copying or scanning of material. Please note, we have only included items that would be covered by a blanket licence from the CLA (Copyright Licensing Agency) or the NLA (Newspaper Licensing Agency). The examination flow charts have been produced from information available from web-sites, and in some instances,
from the examination boards directly.
